About the Business
A full panoramic city image can take up to several months to create; such is the complexity of the detail required in each illustration. The ethos behind the business is very much that art is not just for the wall and can be enjoyed by all. The collection on offer has expanded steadily from prints and canvases for the wall to stationery, homeware, clothing, gifts, collectibles and accessories as a way to make the artwork more accessible to a wider audience. Arty Globe launched at Greenwich Market in 2008, starting life on a weekend market stall.
With a tremendous response being shown from locals and London visitors to the artwork, product range and brand, in April 2009 the business moved to its first retail unit at Greenwich to house the growing range of Arty Globe merchandise. Both the artist (Hartwig) and the entrepreneur (Isaac) behind Arty Globe feel a personal sense of responsibility to have fully 100% of all products made in this country.
