About the Business
In 1993 with the help of the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust, Shepley-Shepley trust and Clydesdale Bank he established his own business working as ceramic sculptor, his work based heavily on his love of wild animals, fantasy, science fiction and mythology.
Julian worked part time as a children's and adult ceramic teacher at Dudhope Art Centre in Dundee for 5 years. He also undertook numerous workshops around the Dundee area giving children from 5-18yrs a chance to experience and work with clay.
At the time Julian was based in Dundee's WASP studios, which provides excellent studio space for artists in several locations around Scotland. From that base Julian attended numerous craft and trade fairs around the UK exhibiting and demonstrating his work. Through these he established many links with galleries and long term business clients creating masters and limited editions.
