I have come to enjoy and appreciate art as a second career after a busy working life in healthcare. I have been inspired by the eclectic work, energy and enthusiasm of my sister and my mum who are accomplished artists in their own right. Under the tutorship of artists in watercolour, acrylics and mixed media I have arrived at the point of feeling my work has special meaning and indicates both originality and uniqueness.

All of my work here is inspired by my life and surroundings. I enjoy creating abstract impressionist work that finds the juxtaposition between ‘place’ in real time and the feelings and emotions evoked by it. All of my works have titles and usually have a story to tell as to how the interpretation was arrived at. I strive to produce vibrant images that have clarity of colour and light but leave a sense of interpretation to the onlooker.
