About the Business
I have been a professional artist and designer for many years, involved in graphic design, illustration and retail design. Claims to fame include a complete series of retro posters illustrated for Murphy's Irish Stout and winning a design award for a British Telecom retail display, however I now enjoy specializing in pet portraits and painting in general.
I live in a small town called Desborough in Northamptonshire, dating from the Bronze Age some 2000 years BC. The town grew due to the spinning and weaving industries, specializing in silk by the nineteenth century. The Church dates back to 1225 AD and is believed to stand on the remains of an earlier Anglo Saxon church. The Old Manor House retains many features of its17th century origins and one of our residents was reputedly a Gunpowder Plot conspirator, The Lord of the Manor at the time. We were also one of the first towns to start its own Co-operative Society, which has grown and steadily declined over the years.
